A Debt Free – Debt Free Party
This past Sunday we had our official debt free Debt Free Party. Friends and Family gathered to help us celebrate the accomplishment and wish us well on the next stage of the journey. My parents and in-laws hosted, and all of our biggest supporters showed up.
Thank you to all who came. We had a great time. The food was delcious, and we are actually still eating leftovers. I’m sorry if I didn’t get to say hi to you. Between keeping track of Peter and losing my voice, conversations were few and far between.
So now that we have embarked on the next leg of this journey (which was accelerated greatly by a generous gift from my grandparents), I hope we can all stick close and encourage one another. I’m asking that you continue to keep us accountable. No more credit and debt! As my dad prayed, let us owe ONLY love from here on out.
P.S. A big THANK YOU to all my twitter and blog friends who were just as much support. I saved you each a cup cake.
Have you ever had that nagging feeling that there was something more to do with your life? I don’t remember exactly when it started for me...

oops (blush) the kids and I ate them for breakfast!
What a great idea! You have a very supportive family! What is on your next leg of the journey?
our family has been great through all of this. really, everybody has been.
The next part is SAVING! 3-6 months (or $7,500-15,000) in the bank for emergencies.
Glad you guys were able to celebrate being debt free!
Having that much support has got to be amazing. We are still finding that the majority of folks can’t understand being debt free. Even those whom have taken Dave’s class.

You did it! Wow! Congratulations Nate (and family) on reaching a milestone many can only dream of. I love how you’ve planned the next step as well….SAVING. I’ve followed your progress and hard work on Twitter, and I am just amazed how you built a plan, scheduled milestones, worked several jobs, and created a count down to being debt free.
How does it feel? :D
@Squawkfox thanks a bunch! definitely received encouragement and wisdom from your blogs. and how does it feel?! it’s crazy good! it’s so exciting! and freeing. we’re seeing the savings accumulate and know that we can face emergencies without having to go back into debt
Wish I could have made it… quite a feat for you guys. Again, congratulations!
