Close Call

We just paid off all our debt and not even two weeks later our van has a major problem (i.e. transmission). Worst case scenario could have wiped us out, so we’ve been praying *lots* over the past couple days.
I just read Matthew 6:19-34 this morning and rejoiced in that truth. God has been so good to us and he cares for every one of our needs.
The fix for our van, although a significant amount, was only a fraction of what it could have been. And we can pay for it without even dipping into our emergency fund. In fact, not only can we pay for it, but I made a deposit into savings on top of that!
I was just so amazed, I had to share it! Thanks for praying with us.
Have you ever had that nagging feeling that there was something more to do with your life? I don’t remember exactly when it started for me...

That is awesome. It feels so good to know when you’re doing the right thing.
After I emailed you, we received a check for our house flood. Hubs is fixing the house instead of a contractor, the rest of the money will cover our bills for 1.5 months. God is good.

When I read that you were having car troubles the first thing I thought of was the fact that you just paid off all your debt. When we paid ours off in February, the same thing happened…all the “extra” money that I thought I would have needed to be spent on “emergencies”. I was just grateful we had the money to do it. Yes, God is good!
