Set up a Monument

Jeff said “I heard a Lon Solomon sermon on this a while ago, and my current pastor reminded me of it in a conversation. At key points in the history of Israel, they would set up a pile of stones (a cairn) to remind them what had occurred. Lon set one up for McLean Bible church, and each stone had a memory of a great work God had done with or for the church. I’m sure you can think of lots of things prior to this – but having that physical reminder (doesn’t have to be stones, you get the picture) of God’s providence and mighty power is something I think we all should have around.”

I like this idea.  I’ll start thinking of something we can establish as a monument and physical reminder of God’s work.

Keep those ideas coming!
