Contentment

1 Timothy 6:6-8
But godliness with contentment is great gain.
For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.
But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.
But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.
But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.
But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.

If you don’t think you are rich, right now, listen to this.

Now, what do you think?

    Can’t wait to listen to that study. I really, really appreciate the scripture. I needed it badly today. Great how the Lord understands our trials and sends comforts along the way to reinforce what the Holy Spirit is doing inwardly.

    Thanks again, brother.

    @MommyScott you said it!

    @Andrew the study is great–i just finished it. this was the last one in the series and it was the best in my opinion. I’m glad the scripture spoke specifically to you.

    When we were getting out of debt, I ran across those verses in my quiet time. After reading that, we immediately canceled our NetFlix account and put the money towards debt. That was an immediate and direct response, but that verse was also inspirational for not eating out and generally buying less.

    Absolutely. :)

    What can be more rewarding than to walk with God, have what you need, and feel content.

    I love meeting people who learn about financial freedom, and also somehow end up getting free from materialism. It’s weird how the two goes hand-in-hand.

    Thanks for the verse, it made my day!
