Positive Post Tuesday: My Wife
This is my first official Positive Post Tuesday, and I figured I would start with the most important person in my life (besides Jesus…did I need to say that?).
Christina Annette is my bride of seven years (on July 15th). Her name means Follower of Christ; Grace, Favor. She truly has been full of grace towards me these past seven years. She continues to follow Christ and grow in grace and favor.
Christina stays at home with our 4 children, the oldest of which is 6. When people ask me if my wife works, I laugh and tell them “harder than you and me combined!” I honestly don’t believe there is a higher calling than being a full time mother. God has allowed us to keep our commitment to have her stay at home with the kids instead of working outside the house. I have some amazing kids (biases put aside) and I’m sure most of that is due to having an awesome mom around to teach, discipline, and guide them. We have also taken on the responsibility of home-schooling our children.
Christina is quite a talented singer. She also plays guitar, although it seems like a distant memory these days. Here is some of her music. She has also taken up the hobby of dyeing cloth diapers, which she has quite a talent for.
Christina and I are very very very different. Many times she sees herself falling short of the super-mom/wife mark. I admit I contribute to this feeling because I tend to be critical in word, tone of voice and facial expression. But she gives us her best. She truly is the help-meet God made her to be. She sacrifices much personal time to make sure we are blessed. Even with her recent depression, she pushes through the feeling of not wanting to do anything to make meet the needs of her family.
There’s probably more I can write, but this is a blog, not a book. And there will be more Positive Posts to follow.
So, Christina, since I know you’ll be reading this…
Know that you are an awesome and important person, not because of any earthly identity (good or bad) that could fade away, but because God died and rose again, and is coming back for you. He loves you!
Stop by Christina’s blog and give her some love. And make sure you post your own Positive Post!
Have you ever had that nagging feeling that there was something more to do with your life? I don’t remember exactly when it started for me...

Awesome. Thanks for participating.
:) Nathaniel, you’re awesome. Thank you for lifting my spirits today. I’ll starting thinking of a positive post for today.
Not only is she your perfect (sorry, Flylady, for using the “P” word) helpmeet, she is the most awesome daughter-in-law anyone could possibly have!
And on top of all those things, you are greatly loved…..more than you will ever know. We are very proud of you, Miss Christina.
WOW! that was wonderful. Staying at home can be isolating and very difficult at times. Our family knows well of the sacrifices made to have one parent home full time. Moms are the glue that keeps it all together!
