    love it, but either way you have to free up $464 a month

    Although my car is fairly new and paid for, Im saving up car to buy a more expensive car in 5 yrs

    @moneymonk thanks for stopping by! and congrats on having a paid for car.

    i just found $2000 a month to pay off debt in a year. After that $464 sounds like (almost) pennies, especially when that $2000 starts going into my pocket.

    Obviously not everybody can do this, but even if you can do $250 it is still worth it.

    so cool :) yea $464 seems like a drop in the bucket… and who says someone needs a $12,000 – $17,000 car? I personally am happy with something that just gets our family around safely, no matter the “said” value.

    W paid cash for our van in 1996. It now has over 160,000 miles. Been saving for 2 years now for my next (slightly used) car! Hope to continue for another 6 months or more if my car makes it. I don’t care what I drive either as long as it gets me around! I refuse to pay a fortune for a car and will not have a monthly payment!
