What I Sent My Credit Card Company For Valentine’s Day
Dear Reader,
Since most of you who are reading this are like me and are trying to get out of debt, Valentine’s Day plans are fairly limited due to funding. That does not mean it cannot be special. For some inexpensive yet meaningful gifts, check out beingfrugal.net
This Valentine’s Day I did send something special to my credit card company. It was a nice, white, snowball sized snowflake weighing about $350. I sent it as hard and as fast as I could (and with all the love I could muster). Our state tax return got deposited just one short week after filing. I would really like to have sent them something bigger and nicer (like my federal return) but I ordered that just a little too late. They’ll get that soon enough.
And, as an incentive to get your taxes done, the stimulus plan has been signed. We’ll get a fair chunk of change from that (just count the children on the “about” page).
Happy Valentine’s Day! Got any special plans?

Have you ever had that nagging feeling that there was something more to do with your life? I don’t remember exactly when it started for me...

happy valentines day!
What a great Valentine’s gift for yourselves. Way to go!
What a great present to send to the credit card company. I hope they liked it!
@ Paid Twice – Thanks for the shout out. Here’s to the snowflake revolution!
@ Momma – Thank you! Wow! I checked out your site. Way to go (and with six kids-quite exciting)! I’m going to subscribe to your blog and follow along
@ wealthy_1 – It was quite nice of us, wasn’t it. :P Unfortunately the relationship looks pretty rocky. They took it more as “get out of my life” than “I love you” …which they rightly perceived. I’ll be sure to check out collectingmycash.com
Love it! Way to snowflake. Oh look, it’s a verb now. :)
@ simple mom – yes, they are going to have to update the dictionary! i like your site-simplemom.net
What a great post. This made me laugh out loud. I know I’m a week late, but it sounds like you and your credit card company had a great Valentine’s Day! ;)
@ KMunoz – thanks! I’m glad to hear it made you laugh. We had a wonderful valentine. I’m calling the relationship off though…credit-she’s just not my kinda gal.
I had to read this twice. :)
Very funny. :)
