Say It Again

Dear Reader,
Are you as surprised as I am at how fast time can go (for comparison purposes, I’m about an 8 out of 10 surprised)? We are already a week into February 2008.
“If I Were Debt Free…” is approaching one month in age. I’m still trying to determine patterns I want follow for postings. The only one I’m fairly sure of right now is using Friday’s post to recap, update, and leave you with some reading material over the next couple days that I will not be posting.
So to jump right into the recap…
- Sunday I made a special announcement-I moved the blog to WordPress and purchased a domain for future residence.
- Monday I was very excited to post our first month’s progress on our 2008 financial goals.
- Tuesday I tried comparing financial fitness with physical fitness. Did it work?
- Wednesday I could breathe easy because I finished my taxes!
- Thursday I had some ’splainin to do!
For the updates…
- Moved to WordPress. If you notice any links around town pointing you back to Blogger, would you let me know so I can correct them? Thanks!
- You can now direct your friends to the slightly easier to remember www.ifiweredebtfree.com
- My wife (a stay at home mom) started a new blog called “Cloth Confessions“-it’s all about cloth diapering. Check it out.
- I added some pages to my blog: About now has my contact info; Babysteps tracks how we are progressing; Blogroll is a continually growing list of fellow finance/debt bloggers; Resources is …well, resources-to help you on your journey to get out of debt and achieve financial freedom
- I am going to start the practice of answering the question “How are you doing?” with “Better than I deserve!” I’ll let you know if I meet any fellow Ramsey followers that way.
Some questions for you…
- Is there any topic you’d like to see discussed? Are you wondering about my personal views on anything?
- I love to build community. Is there anything you see that I can do (or should stop doing) to help build?
For your weekend reading…
- Debt Reduction Formula gets us asking-are we really committed? It seems we can always take it up a notch!
- Blogging Away Debt gives us a great tip for conquering our sleeping troubles. I think I will pass this along to my wife.
- Debt Prison poses the question “what if credit didn’t exist“? Hmmm…got me thinking.
- Squawkfox told us how she paid off her student loans in six months and also gave ideas to avoid student debt all together
- Gather Little By Little gave us some tips for buying a used car.
- In Britain, a credit card company is banning debt-ridden customers from using their cards.
Now, it’s time to go get physically fit. I can’t wait to see you back here on Monday! Have a great weekend.

Have you ever had that nagging feeling that there was something more to do with your life? I don’t remember exactly when it started for me...

Thanks for the link, David! I appreciate it. And good for you for switching to WordPress. I’ve always had a great dislike for Blogger/Blogspot…
I checked out the link for conquering sleep trouble, I’m going to give it a try! :)
Hey Say It Again!
Thanks for the link(s)!
no ear wiggling yet….
