MBC Loudoun Update

For those of you who don’t attend MBC but were waiting on the edge of your seats for the latest news…
Things have been going very well! The 20th was the opening date. They had a full 9 o’clock service and and overflow during the 10:45 service–a total of 930 adults and almost 400 children (to which we contributed a whole 1%). The second week (yesterday) they added a 12:30 service. Christina and I attend the first service and serve during the second. It’s possible, if Christina can be persuaded, that we’ll both be small group leaders for kindergarten. This week went much better than last week for my kindergarten class. As you can imagine, you have to be on your toes to stay one step ahead of the short attention spans! The first week, I think I was at least two steps behind.
There’s been a few bumps as expected, but everyone is stepping up to the challenge. I went back after the last service to help tear down (which has to happen every week) and it took just under an hour to finish. Jim Supp is doing a great job at leading his team, enabling them to do a great job at leading the unpaid staff.
Come on out and visit if you can!

the first week there were 14. i took 10 boys, and the other teacher had the 4 girls. not the best ratio. this past week was a little better–i think 6 and 6. i have about 25 square feet to contain them in with invisible walls!
